Tanged Metal Reinforced Mica Gasket
Description
Mica gasket is made by cutting or rushing mica sheet.The mica sheet is made by heating,suppresssing,combining the 90% mica and 10% glue.
It is made from Mica as homogeneous, reinforced by tanged metal. Laminated from compressed layers of purified natural Mica flake, and mechanically bonded with the stainless steel tangs, ensures the material retains dimensional stability in high temperature.
Mica is stratiform mineral,its composed of potassium (K), aluminum (AI),magnesium (Mg),Iron(Fe) and lithium(Li).There are different categories of mica, including white mica, phlogopite, biotite and lepidolite (Lithia mica) . White mica is widely used in industry and national defense because it is elasticity, tenacity and insulativity. it is also acid and alkali resistant, and corrosion proof, which can be stripped, with low coefficient of expansion etc.
Application
Applied to various industries of steel, metallurgy, power generation ,and all kinds of industrial electric furnace,such as power frequency furnace ,refining furnace, intermediate frequency furnace, calcium carbide furnace, ferroalloy, yellow phosphorus furnace, electric arc furnace, power plants, electrolytic aluminum power frequency furnace, intermediate frequency furnace, electric arc furnace and high temperature insulation and various sealing gaskets for electric welding machine, lightning arrester, electric heating element.
